1-2-1 Haven House provides resources and support services for homeless men living with HIV/AIDS. As a permanent supportive housing facility funded by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and operated by the AIDS Services Coalition of Hattiesburg, 1-2-1 Haven House assists residents in meeting the challenges of independent living.

Residents work, attend school, or are otherwise active in the community, and each resident receives individual therapeutic counseling. Residents affected by alcohol and drug abuse attend support groups and participate in related programs as a condition of residency.

Residents of 1-2-1 Haven House are responsible for housekeeping, food preparation, and maintaining the appearance of the house and grounds.

Personal Growth

Each resident works to address personal obstacles and life situations directly. 1-2-1 Haven House provides residents with the environment to cope with life circumstances responsibly.  Our case management staff works with each resident to identify and reach personal living goals while living at 1-2-1 Haven House.  Once a resident transitions to independent living, the case management staff continues to support them in reaching personal goals.

Privacy

1-2-1 Haven House is home for the residents. AIDS Services Coalition will not release information about any resident without prior consent from the resident to do so.  Visitors are required to sign a confidentiality agreement to maintain the residents’ need for privacy

Resident Admission

Residents admitted to 1-2-1 Haven House meet specific criteria. Potential residents are requested to provide documentation and meet with staff members for one-on-one interviews.
